Sage is also often use in seasoning sausages, along with parsley, rosemary, and thyme in a chicken risotto. You can also use it with parsley, basil, rosemary, and thyme in tomato sauces. Ground sage leaf loses its potency the longer you cook it, so if you would like a milder sage taste and scent, try rubbed sage leaf or just use the ground sage leaf earlier in the cooking process.
