The Great American Spice Company’s coarse sea salt comes from the Celtic Sea near Brittany, France, and is harvested by a regional farm cooperative. Though we often think of salt as just “salt,” nothing more, gourmet chefs in both professional and home kitchens distinguish between different types of salt for enhancing the flavor of food and finishing it. There are many distinguishing differences between Hawaiian Pink Salt, White Silver Sea Salt, Hawaiian Premium Black Lava Sea Salt, and more, but this basic coarse sea salt is an excellent starter to keep around the kitchen for rubbing on lamb, beef, and chicken.
